First things first, I want to thank you for stopping to read my blog. I know there is a lot of cool and interesting stuff on the Internet so I feel greatly appreciative that you chose to meander (can you do that on the internet?) through.
I think that the role that food plays in our society can be very telling and will be analyzed by future historians and anthropologists and they’ll use it a cypher to see how we lived and what was important. More than that, from creation to ingestion, I believe that food is an experience. In fact I started a company just to highlight this relationship called Follow Your Taste Buds!
I started The Urban Gourmand primarily to share with you my food experiments but with some fun adventures and general musings thrown in for good measure.
In addition to blogging here I teach classes at a culinary school in Santa Monica called The Gourmandise School. When I’m not in the kitchen I try to spend my time traveling, with my nose in a good book, or just living life sunny Southern California.
If you want to see what I’m up to at the moment be sure to follow me on Instagram @urbangourmand or feel free to shoot me a message at firstname.lastname@example.org .
